Getting the right fit for your pet's clothing is essential for their comfort and safety. Follow our simple guide below to measure your pet accurately.
📏 What You'll Need
- A soft measuring tape (tailor's tape)
- Treats to keep your pet calm and still
- A helper (optional but recommended)
🐾 How to Measure
1. Neck Circumference
How to measure: Measure around the base of your pet's neck where their collar normally sits. This is the widest part of the neck.
Tip: You should be able to fit two fingers between the tape and your pet's neck for a comfortable fit.
2. Chest Circumference
How to measure: Measure around the widest part of your pet's chest, typically right behind the front legs.
Tip: This is the most important measurement! Make sure your pet is standing naturally and breathing normally.
3. Back Length
How to measure: Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
Tip: Make sure your pet is standing straight, not sitting or lying down.
4. Weight
Weigh your pet using a pet scale or bathroom scale. Weight helps confirm the right size category.
